Merry Christmas 2014

We’re coming up on the end of another year! Is it just me that feels like they go by a lot quicker with every birthday? Not that there’s anything wrong with that. 😉

In fact, the changes we’re seeing here are pretty exciting for us! Our content strategy division has already begun an aggressive growth program, and we have plenty more up on the board for 2015. I can’t wait for the kickoff!

If you’ve visited our Top Shelf site lately, you already know that we’ve added a full-time Project Manager and a Chief Editor (welcome, Kristi and Sue) and are expanding our cadre of highly specialized copywriters. We’re at two dozen now and looking for a few more.

And these aren’t your run-of-the-mill copywriters, either. We’ve got teachers, builders, accountants… folks with bachelor’s degrees, doctorates and plenty of formal journalism experience. We’re being very picky, but the quality they crank out is nothing short of awesome.

So, keep an eye out… we’ll be unleashing some serious awesomeness, with a little help from our equally awesome friends… we’ll share some details on that with you when we launch it.

In the meantime, to my many friends, acquaintances, clients and colleagues… our best wishes for a very Merry Christmas and a phenomenal New Year!

Merry Christmas and a Prosperous 2013

I’m sure I was excited, though… Christmas carols playing on the phonograph, a fire roaring in the fireplace, milk and cookies set out for the fat guy in the funny suit… hell, just thinking about that night gets my system going. Hopefully, not the same kind of going that was probably going through my mind in 1952. At least I’m not back in diapers again! Yet. [Read more…]

Happy New Year

Updated December 31, 2011

This is my last post of 2011, and probably the most difficult to type, as I’m doing it on a borrowed netbook.

My computer finally gave up the ghost this morning, after 2-1/2 years of 16+ hours a day, 7 days a week abuse. I guess I can’t complain… Dell probably didn’t figure on that kind of use when they designed that laptop. The keyboard was worn naked long ago, so it’s a good thing I can touch-type.

I won’t have another computer ’til around Tues. or Wed. of next week, but I wanted to pop in and wish everyone a safe and happy New Year, and a very prosperous 2012.

To those that have stuck with me throughout the year, thank you. Since last month, you’re sticking by me and Lisa, my “partner in crime”.

Which reminds me…

Lisa, Happy New Year to you and yours, as well. Having you as a partner is the best thing that happened to me in 2011 and I’m sure we’re headed for bigger and better things together. [Read more…]
